Start with masters, not the invoice
Invoices go wrong when the same client and service details are typed again each month. Keep clients and billable services in a catalogue once, with the group, billing model and HSN you use.
Draft first, confirm second
A draft can be edited, copied or discarded. Confirm only when the lines, tax and terms are right, because confirming allocates the invoice number.
Let the reports read confirmed invoices
If GST and HSN reports are built from confirmed invoices, your accountant is looking at the same documents your clients received, not a separate spreadsheet.
A note on tax
This is a workflow guide, not tax advice. Check rates and rules with your accountant.
How Billify handles it
Billify provides saved clients, a service catalogue, draft and confirmed invoices, configured numbering, branded print and billing, GST and HSN reports. Payment receipts are manual, and we do not claim automatic overdue tracking.
