Where we started

From Bangalore, for Indian SMBs that needed better tools.

Qgenx was founded by a team that had spent years building software for Indian businesses — and kept seeing the same pattern. Teams would start with Excel, move to a small accounting package, add a POS system, try a CRM, and end up with five disconnected tools that required manual reconciliation every month. The problem was never a lack of software. The problem was software that treated each department as a separate island.

We built Qgenx differently. Every product is independent — you can use the invoicer without the CRM, and the task manager without the HRM. But they share the same data philosophy, the same design system, and the same practical approach to SMB operations. Start with one workflow. Fix it well. Add the next one when you are ready.

Today, Qgenx serves teams across retail, distribution, services, manufacturing and technology in India. Some use one product. Some use five. All of them started with a single workflow they needed to fix.

What we believe

Software should fit the team, not the other way around.

We do not believe in forcing SMB teams to change their workflows to match software. We believe in building software that matches how teams already work — on WhatsApp, across branches, with limited IT support, and with no tolerance for training sessions that last longer than a lunch break.

How we operate

Five principles that guide everything we build.

Every product decision, service engagement and tool release is measured against these principles. They keep the ecosystem focused and the team honest.

Workflow-first, not feature-first

We start with the workflow a team does every day — billing a customer, tracking an asset, assigning a task — and build the product around that motion. Features are added only when they support the workflow, not because competitors have them.

WhatsApp-native communication

Indian SMB teams live on WhatsApp. Every Qgenx product that involves communication — invoices, reminders, approvals, daily briefings — uses WhatsApp as a first-class channel, not an afterthought.

Independent modules, connected view

Every product is standalone. You do not need the CRM to use the invoicer. But when you use multiple products, they share data philosophy and design language, so your team does not relearn workflows for each module.

AI where it reduces friction

AI is used only where it practically helps — summarizing receivables, flagging reconciliation exceptions, highlighting stale leads, or surfacing overdue AMC dates. We do not add AI for marketing appeal.

No training required

If a product needs a manual, we have failed. Every Qgenx product is designed so a team member can open it, understand the workflow, and start operating within minutes. Configuration is minimal. Defaults are sensible.

Ownership over handoffs

For services, we own the outcome, not just the delivery. A dashboard is not handed over with a manual. A report is not sent without validation. Managed means we stay responsible until the outcome is achieved.
